INTEGRATION & ENERGY; Tao Tantra
TAO TANTRA
TANTRA is the effortless, it is the acceptance. Tantra is the pure Unconditioned Love, towards each manifestation of Existence.
TAO is the perfect balance; it is the source of all being, the wheel of Existence, the integration of the opposites. It is the movement and the unchangeable, light and darkness, life and death, positive and negative, vibration and silence, active and receptive, standing and surrendering, sun and moon, warm and cool, masculine and feminine.
TAO TANTRA is the recognition of Tao through the experience of Tantra; it is the realization of how Tao is manifested in us. Tao Tantra is the experience of our nature as a complete being, through the acceptance and Love toward ourselves and our opposites..
Traditionally Tao Tantra can be referred to the Tantric Buddhist techniques. The purpose of these integrated techniques was to enhance the receptivity and awareness on the exchange happening between feminine and masculine energies during the sexual practise. For Japanese, Tibetan and Chinese Buddhist tradition this energetic exchange was supposed to increase or decrease the CHI (jing or qi) level according to the awareness and ability of the practitioner.. CHI is the vital energy. For these traditions to have a proper sexual activity could cure illness, and increase the body strength and youth.. Advanced techniques leaded male practitioner to the control of ejaculation (since it is considered a waste of vital energy), maintaining pleasure and capacity without effort, and driving the energy flow back to the head. Female were considered the necessary medium of this practise, since they were not suppose to lose vital energy but to create it, according to the man ability on approaching them.
Meher Baba was teaching that we are attracted to the opposite sex because we are hiding and forgetting our male or female inner side, and this generate a feeling of incompletion, which leads us to the outer seek of the opposite sex. In reality our path should be a inner path towards our dark deep side.
It is not necessesary to avoid the sexual practice but we need to approach it with understanding and awareness.
Each of us is a complete being owning the whole range of potential (kundalini), an energetic flow which is moving along the spine passing through the chakras (energetic nodes). This flow is our vital energy, it is revealing our capacity to survive, transform, create, love, communicate, integrate and be manifestation of light.
Anyway we have chosen our appearance in this reality as male or female to re-experience our completion, through the meeting with the other side. Male is easily developing his potential on the first three chakras; vital force, sex and power, and female is flowering into the last three chakras; communication, intuition, and compassion. This meeting can lead us to the recognition of our complete form, can give us experience of the whole flow (kundalini), but since male and female energy are mostly moving on different levels, this can only happen in the middle, on the level of fourth chakra: the heart.
When the meeting happen it is the perfect representation of the dance of Existence. With some awareness exercises our partner can help us on this journey even practising sex, since we are walking the same path of recognition.
Strictly required for this process are awareness, sincerity, innocence, opening.
Whenever we approach the other without these qualities, we are lying to ourselves, increasing our judgments towards ourselves and pulling our inner opposite side more down. Whenever we mistrust our body’s partner we are mistrusting our inner male/female side. Whenever we approach to the other without seeing the divine self on him/her, we are hurting and judging ourselves.
Be natural, be spontaneous, be sincere. Care, love, trust.
At certain times the BODYMIND SYSTEM is in a very subtle state which can be used to transform the MINDSTREAM. Such LIMINAL times are known as BARDO states and include transitional states as during meditation, dreaming, sex and death. It is inappropriate to use the sexual practise and desire to become one with the other but it is useful to become complete ourselves. It is also not necessary to practise it without understanding about the nature of the other, which is the projection of our hidden side. We can reach to the real love and to the real sexual communion only after recognizing the space and limitation of our projection, only after cleaning ourselves from the frustration or repression of our hidden part.
We need to recognize and liberate our inner partner before approaching him or her into the bodies world. We need to face him or her and trough the acceptance love him or her.
We should be our first love.
To complete ourselves and experience the beauty of the difference, first we should learn how to recognize and love ourselves even through the others, with compassion and awareness.
Tao tantra activities
THESE EXERCISES SHOULD BE DONE IN COUPLE
First Part: Visualizations
- Seeing partner's body as the body of our inner feminine/masculine
- Perceiving partner's enjoyments as bliss of our inner feminine/masculine
- Performing actions only for the benefit of the partner
By visualizing oneself and one's environment entirely as a projection of mind, it helps to become familiar with the mind's ability and habit of projecting conceptual layers over all experience. This experience undermines a habitual belief that views of reality and self are solid and fixed.
Second part: Contact
Soft contact exercises with the partner.
1. Watching into each other’s eyes and relax breathing
2. Delicate and slow caress to each other
3. Hugh and breathing together
4. Laying down one on top of the other, in a soft comfortable manner and keep on breathing together.
This part can be developed according to the participants exigencies.
Third part: Flowering of the Kundalini Energy
1. Kundalini meditation practice and mindfulness. These involve the subtle energy system of chakras and the energy channels. Sexual energy is directed and dissolved into the heart chakra, where after remains, and the practitioner is physically and mentally transformed.
